1.yes the quran does say that men can have four wives but he MUST treat them all equally and when it says that a man can hit his wife...it doesnt mean that he can merrily go along and whip her to death or bruise her or do anything of that sort...if u hade posted the rest if the ayah you would know that it only implies to hitting ur wife with a misawaak (a light stick) which does not hurt her but merely makes her understand that she ahs done somwthing wrong..if she HAS done something wrong

2. muhammad (peace be upon him) did not trade slaves, but he bought their freedom to stop them from being abused by their 'masters'

3. the quran does not 'recycle' stories...it is a known fact that Islam has a view that judaism, christanity and islam all have the same roots....hence they have the same basic beliefs

i am only a 15 year old girl and this is what i know from the top of my head...but when a litle research is done anyone can prive your little facts wrong
