Valentine's Day = Roman originReader comment on item: Hating Valentine's Day Submitted by Omar Kaj (Nigeria), Feb 14, 2007 at 12:00 Do you come to realize that Valentine's Day is of Roman origin, according to historians. It was a holiday, originally, at which the Romans get to display their love desires that day. This was also done with respect to Venue, the goddess of love. And besides, when was the last time you ever tried to keep your own home Halal -- or Kosher in this case? Some Muslims, like myself and some Lebanese, do mark Valentine's Day, but it is recommended not to, or else the Romans would win in their cultural and religious values worldwide.
