Reader comment on item: Offer: $1 million for Finding "Jerusalem" in the Koran
in response to reader comment: Jerusalem

Submitted by Issam (Canada), Sep 24, 2007 at 17:56

Also, for those who say the Aqsa Mosque may be in heaven, God never refered to heaven in the Quran as a mosque of any kind, so it cannot be in heaven.

Also it cannot be in Medina, because the Muslims never refered to the Mosque of the Prophet in Medina as the Aqsa Mosque. Plus, the Prophet immigrated to Medina with Abu Bakr in journey that tookthem few months, but he was alone in the Night Journey in which he spent one night, so this alone disqualifies Medina.

This leaves us only with Jerusalem, with overwhelming evidence from the Quran, Hadiths and historical references supporting it as the place of the Aqsa Mosque. Also the Land of Palestine is glorified in the Quran and described as "Holy" and "Blessed" in numerous verses, which also add to the credibility of the Muslim claim to the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

Peace,
