Palestine has only existed since the reign of Roman Emperor Hadrian, c. 151ce. He renamed Judea on all of his empire's maps following the third Jewish revolt (that of Bar Kokhba) as a further attempt to wipe out the Jewish people.

Prior to that time the land was known exclusively as Judea, Iudea, or sometimes Israel. This fact can be easily verified by perusing Roman maps from before the time of Hadrian.
