Missing the pointReader comment on item: Offer: $1 million for Finding "Jerusalem" in the Koran Submitted by Y (United States), Dec 24, 2006 at 04:44 "In the end, "so what?", if the actual name of Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Quran? Take for instance the fact that the city of Madinah is not mentioned either. Does this mean that Muhammad did not live there???" No, the point is that Jerusalem is not spiritually important to Islam if the Koran doesn't mention it, or rather, even if it is mentioned once, then it is 682 times more important to Judaism than to Islam. There is no reason that Israel should divide a capital city with a people who claim religious attachment to the city but whose holy book never mentions it.
