The Stupid Attacks on Daniel PipesReader comment on item: On Being Borked Submitted by Irving D. Cohen (United States), Aug 27, 2003 at 03:33 For years I have been an admirer of Senators Tom Harken and Ted Kennedy, but those two have badly shaken my confidence in them. Their unwarranted attack on Daniel Pipes gives strong evidence that they don't always know what they're talking about, or that they are pandering, deliberately, to the Islamists or fundamentalists, among us, who have given birth to the terrorism that threaten all parts of the world. How anyone who has ever made a study of the work of Prof. Pipes could ever come to the conclusion that he attacks Islam, is beyond my comprehension. I believe that their "investigation" of Prof. Pipes and his work was superficial and not at all worthy of them ! Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
