Dear Dr. Pipes,

I have had the privilege of hearing you in person several times - once after you came to LA following your appearance in Colorado Springs where you responded to the speech of Hanan Ashrawi. I believe that even there you differentiated between militant Islam and those who practice that religion peacefully.

As a board member of StandWithUs I have followed your ordeal daily, calling the White House in an effort to let the President know how an American citizen feels about your participation in his Committee on Peace.

Thankfully, Mr. Bush recognized your value; we look forward to your participation.
