Congratulations, Dr. Pipes, on your appointment to the USIP. If a novice like me can understand your work and the distinctions you make between Islam and militant Islam, I have to wonder about your opponents with all the degrees behind their names. Since it is reasonable to believe they are intelligent people, I am left to suspect their motives. I agree that an extensive effort is needed to educate Americans and our allies about this distinction. You could start by making a bumper sticker that says:
"Militant Islam is the problem, moderate Islam is the solution." Cheers...
