CongratulationsReader comment on item: On Being Borked Submitted by Michael Wolin (United States), Aug 26, 2003 at 09:06 Dear Mr. Pipes;I can well imagine that enduring the political chastisement that unforturnately goes with an administration appointment to almost any position is a bruising and dismaying experience. I am happy that both you and President Bush withstood the pressure, and that your appointment to the Institute of Peace has come to pass. Congratulations on this appointment. I am sure you will bring reason and clarity to the Institute's recommendations, both in short supply in many official circles. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
