Too few of us knowReader comment on item: On Being Borked Submitted by Ruth Lowry (United States), Aug 26, 2003 at 17:52 Dear Dr. Pipes,I very much enjoyed your article on being Borked." You certainly know, and by my ongoing research which includes your writings, I am thoroughly convinced of the mentality of Islamist-Fascists. There is a pattern to their behavior which is becoming more and more obvious to anyone paying attention. This pattern is many faceted with devious schemes and behaviors in various situations. One of these ongoing schemes as you are well aware, is to paint individuals like yourself as "bad guys." Another scheme is to keep lying until their lies are accepted as truths. Keep up the excellent work and do watch your back. I put nothing past them and take nothing for granted where they are concerned. As for the moderate Muslims, in my opinion they are afraid to speak out. Does the Qur'an not instruct that "non believers" should be slain, as well as those who associate with non-believers? According to their history and current events, I would not put it past the fanatic element of Islam to in one way or another, threaten the moderates to "keep still." Hopefully leaders will emerge from moderate Islam, strong enough, brave enough, and influential enough to stand up to those who are doing such damage to their religion. Sincerely, Ruth Lowry Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
