Not easy solutions.

Reader comment on item: Bush on Israel: Heartburn for All

Submitted by Frankie Lee (Singapore), Mar 6, 2003 at 09:57

Indecisions of President Bush are obvious. These two States are at odds for so many years, and any easy solutions must be unthinkable.

The failures to settle Palestinian Issues, its responsibilities belong to these two States. The misplaced of hates and grudges against a kind gentleman who wants to help, by the Arab States, and unkind remarks hurl against President Bush or ex-President Clinton, on their failures to mediate effectively, are totally unfair.

The way to move forward is to formulate a plan that is acceptable to all Security Council members, and implement it by force. But if we want to respect their decisions, then let it be as it is. Their problems, they solve it themselves. So let the free world not mediate, or mediate by force.

It is not Bush vacillations, but very much by the World's uncooperative attitude. If the World refuses to give President Bush mandate even for a clear- cut case in these hours, Iraq, how can he work?
