Erroneous use of terms in "Heartburn" article

Reader comment on item: Bush on Israel: Heartburn for All

Submitted by Daniel Ninburg (Mexico), Mar 4, 2003 at 08:00

Dear Mr. Pipes,

I have been a reader of your writings for many years, and agree almost 100 per cent with your views.
However. in today's article, your use of two terms gave me a twinge of "heartburn."
The first was your use of "Arab-Israel Conflict." I would rather have used "Arab War Against Israel."
The second was the use of "occupied territories." I would rather have used "disputed territories" or "administered territories."
In both cases, you are conceding a partial victory to the aggressors.

Respectfully,
Daniel Ninburg
