Need to find a way out of mounting sadness!

Reader comment on item: Arabs Disavow Hizbullah

Submitted by T. Rajah-Balaji (India), Aug 2, 2006 at 03:38

By all objective criteria, it is a sad reality that the Hizbollah (and other terrorist outfits) have been functioning like 'a state within a state' in Lebanon, and the latter has always remained helpless about this for a very long time.

It is a sadder reality that Israel has always been the prime target/victim of Hizbollah terrorist operations.

It is, however the saddest reality that Lebanon have never felt, for delicate political reasons, never felt comfortable in officially inviting Israel in to help in conducting counter-terrorist operations on its soil, and as a result, the tragedy slides further and further into more and more bloodshed. It is high-time that wily and devious leaders in the Middle-East put their heads together and found a way out for preventing the avoidable loss of lives of innocents.
