A Set Back, Hopefully Only for Now

Reader comment on item: Arabs Disavow Hizbullah

Submitted by Joe Adams (United States), Jul 26, 2006 at 15:58

It appears as if Israel is losing, both the propaganda battle and the military battle. Iran-Syria-Hezbolah sprung a trap for which Israel was not ready, one that Mossad did not detect. It is easy to be Monday-morning quarterback but it seems that the big mistake was not to wait but to rush in. A two week period to recconnoiter, train, gather intelligence would have been smarter. The question is what to do now. Don't go by Sunni-Shia enmities. They unite against Jews. American Jewish organization have their work cut out for themselves. It's time for them to earn their criticism.
