Reader comment on item: Spreading Islam in American Public Schools
in response to reader comment: Radical Islam, Communism, Hate America Taught Daily

Public Schools are in no way pro-socialist. The text-books are written by none other than corporations, often with executives that have served time killing innocent people under cold war pretexts (like John Negroponte). I find a serious lack of important historical facts in all of these text books, there is an entire section in one text book by McGraw-Hill, for example, explaining how Pol Pot had killed millions in Cambodia and that the United States' fears were thusly realized, but it did not mention the killing of millions more by the United States government in the same period and it definitely neglected to say anything about the large amounts of millitary aid the United States was giving to noneother than Pol Pot! The small minority of socialist teachers have a point too, we have enough resources today for the entire planet to live at an American middle class standard of living, yet half the world lives on a dollar a day or less!
