Reader comment on item: Spreading Islam in American Public Schools

Submitted by Peter J. Herz (Taiwan), Nov 24, 2004 at 18:59

My own son gets a whietwashed version of Islam in his middle school history textbook _Across the Centuries_. I've written his teacher to complain, without any results.

The so-called multi-culturalism (pushed by people who know only one language, and that badly) is nothing but an alliance between overripe New Leftists dominating the teacher's unions and normal schools and the latest band of nihilistic thugs--in this case, the Islamofascists. We also have the bureaucratic timidity that is so essential to administrations and school boards as well.

Also, parents, teachers, and administrators today were generally conditioned by the public schools of a generation ago to decry every defense of Western civilization as "racist" or "chauvinist"--and to excuse the failure of Marxist systems to unleash the promised productive forces on those stupid Slav Uentermenschen and primitive Asiatics (plus the lingering residue of Christianity, which 19th century science supposedly banished). Hence, they themselves are easy pray to the follies that their children are now facing.
