Submitted by Arlinda DeAngelis (United States), Nov 24, 2004 at 21:44

Will Islam find it objectionable if a teacher, in a classroom, explains the equal rights of women? Will Islam find it objectionable, if a teacher, in a classroom, explains that women are equal with men under the law? Will Islam find it objectionable if a teacher, in a classroom, explains that women may not be beaten? Will Islam find it objectionable if a teacher explains, in a classroom, the abomination of slavery? Will Islam find it objectionable if a teacher, in a classroom, explains that women may not be stoned to death for commiting adultery? Will Islam find it objectionable if a teacher, in a classroom, explains that children are not the possessions of their fathers?

Will Islam find it objectionable if a teacher explains, in a classroom, the right of freedom of religion? Will Islam find it objectionable if a teacher, in a classroom, explains that people have the right to choose any religion, as there are no state sponsored religions and there are no such people as infidels?

Will Islam find it objectionable if a teacher explains, in a classroom, that people have the right to mortgage their houses and use credit cards and pay interest on loans?

Will Islam find it objectionable, if a teacher explains, in a classroom, that it is illegal to declare and carry out fatwahs and jihads?

If Islam finds that these are objectionable issues, is Islam then entitled to blow up the classroom and the teacher?
