Islam Cannot be Reformed

Reader comment on item: Can Islam Be Reformed?
in response to reader comment: Reform Muslims not Islam

Submitted by Stephen Blanton (United States), Jul 6, 2013 at 11:10

Islamic clerics admit that Islam cannot exist without the death penalty for apostasy and blasphemy. Otherwise Muslims would be abandoning Islam by the hundreds of millions.

Every truly devout Muslim knows it is his sacred duty to fight until every person in every country is Muslim, subject to Muslim authority, or is dead. If you doubt this assertion, please read the following verses from the Qur'an in your own language: Surah 8:39; 2:244; 2:216; 9:5; 2:191; 4:91; 8:60; 9:14; 17:16; 26:208-209; 8:65; 9:14; 9:29; 9:111; 8:67; 5:73; 5:59-60; 2:111; 4:50; 4:52; 4:47; 4:56. These verses are not about self defense. They are about world conquest in the Cause of Allah.
