Reader comment on item: Can Islam Be Reformed?

Submitted by Justin (Canada), Jul 2, 2013 at 13:05

Islam cannot be reformed in the next 200 years because majority of muslims will be lacking the ability

of critical thinking in the next 200 years and the reason is because of islam. There will be some individuals here and there in the Western world who are may be reformists such as Zuhdi Jasser, Tarek Fatah and others but such individuals are considered as enemies of islam and will be killed in a muslim country. Also, Shi'a muslims are more moderate than Sunni muslims and I believe the West should not support a radical Sunni revolution in Syria and elsewhere.
