Obama is not anti-Israel

Reader comment on item: Romney's Remarkable Speech in Jerusalem
in response to reader comment: ON WHY JEWS ARE SUPPORTING OBAMA

As an athiest who has been to Israel several times, I would say that Israelis have little in common with American Jews who tend to be more secular and better educated. Most civilized people (and not just Jews) would support Israel's right to live and thrive peacefully but unconditional support will only come if Israel sets a very high bar for itself irrespective of how its neighbors behave. This means that the attacks on Africans in Tel Aviv or the vandalizing of mosques in Nortthern Israel hurts Israel tremendously in the long run and being loved is always better than being feared. I think over the years Israel has shown itself without a doubt to be morally, ethically, technologically, militarily superior to the Arab world but unfortunately Israel has started slipping in the first two dimensions.

Also Obama is not anti-Israel and indirectly he has done a lot behind the scenes to help Israel from cyberattacks on Iran's nuclear facilities to drone attacks on terrorists to getting Bin Laden.
