Romney has no backbone

Reader comment on item: Romney's Remarkable Speech in Jerusalem

Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Jul 30, 2012 at 19:51

Yes, it was a great speech, but Romney often backtracks on his sweeping statements. Too bad----he is a weak candidate and still hasn't found a running mate, because no one is standing up to the plate. Our country has sadly gone downhill, to where someday we may end up with a dictatorship. It's very sad, because we--and I mean the "royal we"---have become a country of apathy, which is what happened to the former Soviet Union.

If the USA goes down, Israel is right behind it. I fear that Obama will once again win the election and God knows where that will take us in the next four years. It's wonderful that the US is Israel's friend and will support and help her, but Israel should not depend on us unconditionally.
