Romney is looking better

Reader comment on item: Romney's Remarkable Speech in Jerusalem

Submitted by stranchan (Ukraine), Jul 29, 2012 at 01:23

Romney appeared more presidential than he has seemed when in the grip of domestic politics. He came across very polished and even sincere, which is not the usual for him. It is difficult for the American public to get used to him I think. He is a corporate executive and is very methodical and reasoned. He has spent a career reigning in his emotions and appearing calm and wooden in his business dealings. It is a difficult thing to suddenly become animated and charismatic on queue. The greater shame is that the Americans have this quality as a requisite for being electable.

But then again, the Americans think that Mr Obama is unemotional, calling him no drama Obama...
