Rousing speech; won't mean beans if he can't win

Reader comment on item: Romney's Remarkable Speech in Jerusalem

Submitted by john w mcginley (United States), Jul 31, 2012 at 11:25

Romney's speech has not been surpassed BY ANYONE EVER in the public limelight in its support for Israel. Period. It was great. And it won't mean beans if Romney does not get elected.

Obama has been a plague on our country and on Israel. But the electoral map favors Obama. One survey has him acquiring ALREADY 280 electoral votes (271 to win) counting "sure" and "leaning" states for Obama. Romney is not an inspiring figure. The Mormon question will keep a large enugh grouping of Evangelicals to stay home on election day. Even Catholics and Jews are put off by this Mormon thing.

No-one will publicly admit it but Romney STARTS with a seven percent deficit just on this Issue alone. (This variable will never be accurately gauged in a poll even if such a poll would dare touch it.; they won't admit it to themselves let alone admit it to a poll-taker.) Combine that with his wooden personality and one may gauge that Romney leaves the gate with an automatic TEN PERCENT DEFICIT.

By the way, especially Catholics and Jews will not admit to this prejudice against Romney. the trouble with Catholics and Jews is that they will not only not vote for Romney but they will actually vote -- holding their noses -- for smelly Obama. This election is already over. God bless America (no-one else will). God bless Israel (no-one else will).
