How could Israel be more safe?

Mubarrak would be busy rooting out jihadists from within Gaza (something that has already started since the wall was blown), the last thing he would want, and I'm sure he's aware of, is the influence the rabble in Gaza could possibly have in Egypt.

Also, I would be surprised if Mubarrak won't recall the summer of '06 when Israel kicked the butt of Hezbollah and much of Lebanon. That cannot be underestimated. The government of Lebanon has since wisely kept Hezbollah in check. That northern border has been blissfully quiet ever since, hasn't it?
