Gaza back to Egypt? Bad idea.

Reader comment on item: Give Gaza to Egypt

Submitted by B Dubya (United States), Jan 31, 2008 at 15:20

As unruly and violent the Pali's in Gaza might be, they are only a tactical inconvenience compared to the startegic value of permanently blocking Egypt from direct access to the Irraeli flank.

No matter the current rhetoric, Eqypt is muslim, and still plays the pan-Arab game, and is a considerably greater threat to Israel's continued existance than Hamas and that other rabble, Fatah, will ever be.

Gazan or Palistinian, the inhabitants of Gaza have sown the wind, let them now reap the whirlwind.
