Letting Egypt annex Gaza

Reader comment on item: Give Gaza to Egypt

Letting Egypt annex Gaza will not stop the rockets landing on southern Israeli towns. Lets understand some fundamental ideology of hamas and the islamic brotherhood-its the destruction of Israel. As long as a Jewish flag reigns over Jerusalem it is constant war with Israel.

Lets be real, one day the islamic brotherhood will over throw or politicaly defeat the secular govt. of mubarak, they already control a majority in egyptian elections and its border with Israel will once again be hostile.

By giving gaza to the egyptians hamas will now be able to bring bigger and longer range rockets similar to the shiite militia through an open border with egypt instead of tunnels. The only real short term solution with gaza is 2 fold: for Israel to reconquer a small area of Sinai beyond tunnel making ability, and a milatary conflict with much more intensity than at present. hamas is a cancer that will continue to spread unless it is dealt a relentless violent blow. The Jewish people must start doing what's good for them and not what foreign governments deem correct. The gentiles will respect us more, and Israel can be 1967 again-"ISRAEL IN ITS FINEST HOUR".
