Reader comment on item: Give Gaza to Egypt
in response to reader comment: ONLY SOLUTION: GAZA UNDER EGYPT; PARTS OF WEST BANK LINKED TO JORDAN -- ANY OTHER PLAN ONLY SERVES ARAB AGENDA FOR DESTRUCTION OF ISRAEL

This is a comment on Mr. Marcus thoughts. They are in bold italics.

"Any plan that involves an independent "Palestinian" state West of the Jordan is aimed only at advancing the 1974 PLO Phased Plan for the destruction of Israel!"

how? please explain.

"Palestinians" cannot govern themselves because they are Greater-Syrian or Egyptian Arabs locked-up in refugee camps and given pseudo-nat'l identity just to spearhead destruction of Israel"

But if they are "greater syrian/Egyptian Arabs" does it make better sense to unite them with their brothers, so that the battle lines become clear, instead of having many arabs within Israel's backyard"

"Far from a nation, they are in essence an "anti-nation" unable to unite behind any other cause"

I thought there are united in trying to detroy israel,as you said earlier?

"Jordan, part of initial Palestine Mandate, was separated by the Brits in 1922 to create original Pal-Arab state and is today one of best-run Arab states".

What if gaza is created as a separate state from westbank, would that help to weaken the resistance?

Peace treaty with Egypt provides Israel with demilitarized Sinai buffer.

Which would include gaza: would this help in reducing the security burden on Israel in policing the gaza egypt border?

Lasting settlement can only be based on Gaza placed under Egypt; with parts of W.Bank linked to Jordan - possibly through a confederation safeguarding security and settlements for Israel, demographics for Arabs, holy sites for both.

Will the gazans and egyptians and Jordanians accept this idea? if not, why? why wouldn't they want to reunite with their brethren with whom they have lived together for centuries under the ottomans?

Any further "Palestinism" on narrow sliver will only bring more war, bloodshed and misery - not hoped-for peace! As to any party - including the US State Dept - that is pushing for such an agenda, it is clear that they are not aiming at peace but at implementing none other than the "1974 PLO Phased Plan" for the elimination of the Jewish State.

Really? is the US not the biggest friend of Israel supplying us with billions of dollars and weapons to defend ourselves? what will the US gain by israeli elimination? is this paranoia?

thank you sir
