THis solution was tried by the Israelis in Lebanon. A miserable failure!

Who will bankroll this strongman? And what about Human Rights? Chiang was brutal, so too Ataturk. So has the US stepped in just to put in another dictator? And what about the popular resistance this will provoke?

The euro has gained almost 25% against the dollar since late 2001. The U.S. economy has acquired significant structural imbalances, including our record-high trade account deficit (now almost 5% of GDP), and the recent return to annual budget deficits in the hundreds of billions.

The best solution right now will be for Bush to hand over the country to the UN. Let free elections be held, and let the Iraqis decide what they want.

Time to stop spending US money and blood bringing "democracy" to people who don't seem to want it.
