Strongman for Iraq?Reader comment on item: A Strongman for Iraq? Submitted by Kyle Gosnell (United States), Apr 28, 2003 at 14:13 Hear, hear, I am in complete agreement, as a Iraqi Quasi-Monarch could pull it off.No other type of Govt would be acceptable, and grudgingly protected by the masses, which is needed. Or it will go down into a morass of infighting, and vendetta style killings. There is always the fringe element in every country and government, in this case, killing oneself is acceptable in their belief, this makes change very strange. We must make sure, this "person" isn't another Saddam, which would be a disaster, both for detente, and for future relations with the world. Understand the Iraqi people have been told, WE, the US installed Saddam, think about that twist.
