Militant Islam vs. Moderate Islam

Reader comment on item: A Strongman for Iraq?

Submitted by Bruce Gilboord (Canada), Apr 28, 2003 at 18:46

Dear Editor,

I always felt there was a need for a "Reform Islam" in the community. Perhaps though the start is in a periodical that expresses the views of moderate Muslims.

Please consider circulating the idea amongst the western or American press to consider creating a "Moderate Islam" and pro western democracy E-mail list, news leter, than perhaps a magazine.

If there alread is one, than it would be a pleasure to learn about it in one of Professor Pipes' E-mail articles.

Sincerely,

Bruce from Toronto, Canada.
