Mr Pipes,
Your article begs the notion that the U.S. has no business there in the first place. Those who delude themselves into thinking they can impose their value system on others at the end of a bayonet should be forced to experience what the Iraqi people have been subjected to during the war such as Cruise and Tomahawk missiles. Those who give legitamacy to this horrendous act are only deluding themselves as to the benign motives of the U.S. leaders and their corporate backers. Concern for the Iraqi people was never really a factor in this invasion any more than Weapons of Mass Destruction. These were all just excuses. A desire for oil and and an opportunity for corporate America to make billions of dollars in post war Iraq were the main driving forces that fueled this invasion...
