Brilliant analysis!

Reader comment on item: A Strongman for Iraq?

Submitted by Gorge Solomos (Canada), Apr 28, 2003 at 15:02

Brilliantly presented, to say the least! Having come from that region myself (Cyprus) I have been, like too many of my compatriots, forced to abandon our motherland because change came - was forced by the British rather - too quickly......and thirty years after still with problems.....

What the US administration, and the West at large should realize, is that what works for Western style democracies will not necessarily work for fundamentally based rule and Theocracies!

Yes, install a ruler!
