Reader comment on item: Muslim Soldiers in the West, Criticized by their Communities
in response to reader comment: PROUD TO BE AMERICAN MUSLIM IN THE ARMY!!

Submitted by Mark Major (United States), Jan 4, 2007 at 09:01

I've read the Koran...it's a violent book that teaches violence against non.muslims and hatred of non muslims. It teaches slavery is okay and women are equal to half a man and it seeks to instill sharia law over the entire world as a form of government

I read daily the killings and that go on all over the world and how teachers and educators and buddhist and Hindu's and Christians are slaughtered by muslims all over the world in the name of Allah.

I ain't buying the Religion of Peace angle muslims are throwing out, because it isn't. It may be a religion of peace to other muslims... except the 20,000 or so muslims slaughtered in the middle east last year in the name of allah. to all others it is a religion of hatred and a form of government that directly conflicts with western governments. Muslims have had ample opportunity to speak out against trhe radicals and the higher percentage of muslims won't because as their religion requires them, they support the jihadi terrorist. I honestly don' t know how a muslim can take an oath to defend the constitution and the american way of life when his religion requires him to promote sharia law and kill the infidels and non believers and move towards making all infidels into believers or kill them

By the way...how can any muslim ever be trusted when their holy book and holy teachings teach that it is okay to lie to the infidel in war and Islamist have decared war on the middle east. My own opinion, like in Singapore, muslims should not be allowed to serve in the military as their religion is a direct contradiction to the US constitution that a soldier is required to uphold and defend against under the possibilty of death. Becasue if it came down to it, whom is the muslim soldier going to hold in higher esteem...allah or the USA
