What about the Muslims they're fighting for?

Reader comment on item: Muslim Soldiers in the West, Criticized by their Communities
in response to reader comment: Do muslims fight secular wars?

Submitted by Malcolm (Australia) (Australia), Jul 18, 2009 at 07:20

What doesn't seem to occur to the detractors of these soldiers is that they are fighting for other Muslims. Afghanistan has a Muslim government. So does Iraq. The terrorists are killing fellow Muslims. But at least America (and Australia) are doing their best to protect them.

The only conclusion must be that they think that merely being a non-Muslim makes your cause wrong - even if you are defending Muslims.
