The term Islamofacist originated with Michael Savage. It has since been picked up by others and promoted. I find it interesting that it took the President and Congressman so long to acknowledge who the enemy is. I guess they were waiting to see if someone would order a fatwah on Mr. Savage before aping the term as their own. Since there was no fatwah I guess it is safe for everyone to use the term.
