Correct title for our enemy

Reader comment on item: "At War with Islamic Fascists"

Submitted by Sigmund Silber (United States), Aug 14, 2006 at 12:55

Islamist and Islamism is the correct term as a literature search will reveal. It is a term understood by Muslims. It means the concept that their religion is paramount and should be interpreted literally. In the past it was not always associated with a predilection towards violence. That is what has changed.

Fascism has to do with the intertwining of the state and private enterprise and Republicans need to be cautious about that term LOL.
