Judeo Christian culture

Some facts that I would like to highlight in response to your post.

1. Jesus Christ was a Jew, Mohammed was not.
2. All the disciples of Jesus were Jews as were the first converts to Christianity, Not the case with Mohammed or his followers.
3. The new testament Bible says that salvation is of the Jews and they were the first ones to get a chance to receive it. Koran and hadiths talk about fighting and subjugating Christians and Jews instead of accomodating them. This is the plain simple truth, nothing left or right about it.
4. Jewism and Christianity are messianic religions.Jews were promised a Messiah by God from the descendants of King David, Jesus belonged to to David's family tree. Christians accepted him as the Messiah , while Jews did not. Mohammed never did did belong to any of the Jewish tribes , leave alone David's.
5. The God of Jews is Yahwey and He is also the God of Christians, whom they call God the father. There is no argument between both these faiths on this. Moslems claim Allah is the same, but neither Jews nor Christians accept it because the God of the Jews never sent a prophet from outside the Jewish community.

Many Jews have rejected Jesus as their Messiah but all the Jews have also rejected Mohammed as their prophet. For Jews and Christians Mohammed is a false prophet who was not sent by God. So Judaism and Christianity have many things in common and there is a definite continuity from Judaism to Christianity. Islam had borrowed heavily from the Jewish and Christian holy books both in terms of content and style, but that is where the simmilarity ends. Islam which has its own set of rules, codes and practices which are totally different from what we call "Judeo-Christian" culture today. The term "Judeo-Christian" culture itself evolved in the US to include the Jewish element with the Christians and is not more that 100 to 150 years old, while the Jewish culture goes back to 3000 years.

Christians on the other hand do not have a unique culture of their own, an Arab Christian will follow a different culture as opposed to a Portuguese Christian or a Christian in far-east even though they share the same faith.
