Patriots or Leeches?

Reader comment on item: The Snipers: Crazy or Jihadis?
in response to reader comment: Muslims as patriotic citizens?

Submitted by Paul T. Semones (United States), Oct 29, 2002 at 14:16

I am reminded by Nadir Ahmed's honest exhortations that every citizen of this country has the right to disagree with official United States policy, both domestic and foreign. However, I believe that non-citizens do not necessarily have that right in its fullest sense. Non-citizens advocating clearly anti-American sentiments within America's cities should be deported. Our war today is truly against a virulent ideology that threatens the lives and freedoms of Americans all around the world. I believe there is a place for carefully implemented restrictions on "free speech" with regards to pro-Islamist activism in our country.
