Nation of Islam vs. IslamReader comment on item: The Snipers: Crazy or Jihadis? Submitted by Gunnar Gunderson (United States), Oct 29, 2002 at 21:29 The Nation of Islam and Islam are very different - different beliefs, agenda. Actual Muslims do not consider members of the Nation of Islam as Muslims. Yet this article doesn't make this distinction clear.Generally, I like to read Pipes' articles to see his side of the story - he is very well informed. But, in this case at least, the blurring of this distinction can be misleading. Umar Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: 735 words does not allow for a full discussion of all issues. For my views on the NoI-normative Islamic connection, see http://www.danielpipes.org/article/167 and http://www.danielpipes.org/article/341.DP Comment on this item
