Clearly, Islamists must be anti-American. They hold values antithetical to our respect for individual rights, liberty and toleration.

We see this by their posts. For example, Nadir Ahmed says, "Perhaps we like many others find it morally reprehensible America's blind support for Israel ...". Obviously, given his/her values he finds common cause with a fascist like Arafat rather than Israel, a pluralistic democratic country like our own.

Imran Khan points out, "A militant Muslim by definition cannot be patriotic to any ideology other than Islam, and hence a Muslim citizen of America cannot in the final analysis be either loyal or patriotic to the American Constitution." This brings to mind the Communist example and reinforces classification of Islamism and Communism as international totalitarian ideologies, as Pipes has stated in previous pieces.
