I find Mr. Ahmed's comments typical of many people I have encountered: In a nutshell, America is unjust, therefore, Muslims must "educate" us on the truth.

Forgive me, but I have traveled the world and seen many lands. Of all places I have visited, Islamic nations without exception are the most repressive, freedom-deprived areas to be found. It is repugnant to see how one, who enjoys the freedoms this country offers, so flippantly impugns our character for the US relationship with Israel.

I would ask Mr. Ahmed to examine the true terrors wrought by Syria on the Lebanese people before he judges our nation. Perhaps when he realizes the carnage done in the name of Islam he will understand our reluctance to accord the Islamic world the "understanding" he so desires. Sadly, there are none so blind as those who will not see.
