Reply to AhmedReader comment on item: The Snipers: Crazy or Jihadis? Submitted by mikgnuoyni (United States), Oct 30, 2002 at 22:35 It's interesting how Muslims always happen to turn a blind eye towards their own oppressive regimes. Is anyone standing up to the 100,000 people who have been killed by radical Muslims in Algeria? What about the oppressed, disenfranchised Kurds, Assyrians and Shias in Iraq? What about the 2,000,000 people who have been killed in Sudan by the oppressive Islamic regime? What about Lebanon, which is a defacto Syrian province with no say in its own affairs? Or the persecuted Copts in Egypt? Or the fact that not one Arab state is a democracy? Or the fact that in every country where Sharia is implemented, (eg Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iran, Taliban Afganistan, parts of Nigeria), people are whipped, stoned, hanged, beheaded, and have their hands cut off? Or what about the fact that women have no say in almost every single Arab country. In fact, the only country where an Arab woman can vote is . . . Israel.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
