al Fuqra connections ?

Reader comment on item: The Snipers: Crazy or Jihadis?

Submitted by Arun Gupta (United States), Nov 10, 2002 at 18:52

One news item mentioned that possible links between the snipers and the al-Fuqra organization were being investigated - but nothing further seems to have appeared.

Has any connection been definitely ruled out ?

(To remind you about al-Fuqra, Daniel Pearl, the murdered Wall Street Journal reporter, was investigating the connection between Richard Reid, the shoe-bomber and the founder of al-Fuqra, when he was kidnapped. )
