Reader comment on item: Arabian Sex Tourism

Of course taking things out of context is the easiest thing to do. Just like justifying going to war in Iraq to spread freedom. Nevertheless, Here is my presepective. First things first. Do not mix Islam with what Muslims do. Misyar and Mutaa' may seem the same concept but when guidelines are explained they are not the same. In Misyar all rules of a normal marriage is applied except for staying at the residence and house expenditure. So you can not get married with the intention of getting a divorce. The marriage should be anounced in some sort of format. The marriage will be registred and a marriage license will be issued. Waving the expenditure does not make the relationship any less sacred.

Secondly note that a female without a responsible/commited sexual partner could ruin a neibourhood if morally not responsible in which the probability is very high. But impact of a man without a responsible/commited sexual partner is not the same. Misyar is a responsible way to have sex out of marriage. Let's take a step back and look at marriage. Let us admit that sex is a major factor of marriage and life. Because irresponsibility toward sexual relationship is the essense of social corruption. Therefore, misyar marraige is the responsible method to contain spread of social corruption.
