Double Standards

Reader comment on item: Arabian Sex Tourism

Submitted by Steve Ralston (United States), Oct 8, 2005 at 20:15

Your article describing the sex trade activities of "Arab Monarch" types is a repulsive topic. Another issue for me is the "double standard" that appears to be acceptable to the Muslim community. If women cannot show their head, a leg, an ankle, etc., then why is it acceptable for men to go find "one-night-stand-marriages," and with girls who are young enough to be their daughters?

It drives me nuts when I hear organizations curse President Bush for his efforts to put down terrorists, and women's organizations in particular. Many people and organizations join in the chorus of detractor groups who castigate America's violation of Muslim, or Arab, civil rights. Detractor groups of dubious character and intent, and with stated missions to destroy America.

Perhaps the women's organizations participants fail to realize it will be their daughters to be offered up at some "sex slave - meat market?" Somehow I think it is fair to say, once they realize what the world will be under those they currently rise to defend, they may join in on the War on Terrorism. Hopefully there will be someone capable of rising to defeat the enemies of freedom when the detractors realize their situation.

Some ask, "are the War on Terrorism and sex slave - meat market monarch's tied together" or go so far as to assert they are not. However, I think they are. Terrorism, as it has unfolded today in the form of Islamist radicals, is a form of totalitarianism. Like the vociferous marching detractors at protests, many of those who want all to embrace Islam, through acceptance or force, have been discovered to be sponsor's of terrorists or totalitarian rule. Those attending these sex slave - meat markets, are also part and parcel, elements of the terrorists financial, material, and philosophical, support network. No matter what form the sponsorship takes, it is support.

If these men find it acceptable to offer up Muslim girls to this despicable trade, it is only reasonable to assert they would offer up the daughters of "infidels" as well. A few mothers may end up joining their daughters on that sex slave - meat market block as well. From the description, its a "meat on the hoof (shoe)", type operation. Although it appears the Arab Monarch types want young girls rather than older women.

This business is only one of the many methods of subjugation women would face. The men of the world may fare better. Men would probably be killed outright since most would resist the forced indoctrination to the faith and the imposition of totalitarian rule. Perhaps, for many in the world, that resistance may come too late in the game. However, I think it would eventually come to that.

Your article, along with a virtual library of others, begs the same question that many have asked for too long a time. "When will the media in the "free" world begin to make mention of these issues?" Horrific stories have been told, with ample evidence to support their claims. They are becoming everyday examples of the type of world such "monarch's" would bring. Ironically, the stories would never be told once such a world comes to pass. Those who would create this world would never allow reporters to convey the messages of corruption and despicable behavior of the "monarch's" that the terrorists would create.
