Mirza is not an Arabic last nameReader comment on item: Arabian Sex Tourism Submitted by Atique Mirza (United States), Apr 19, 2009 at 18:44 My last name is Mirza and I can tell you that the origin of this last name is NOT Arab by any stretch of Imagination. There are Immigrants in Arab World whose last name is Mirza , but that does not mean they originated from Arab countries. Go to Google and type " Origin of last name Mirza " and enter and you will find that the origin of this last name is Persian. Mirza is short for 'Amirzadeh' meaning son of a Prince . This was used mostly as a Title by Persian / Turkish Aristocracy. I met a member of the Mirza clan in Jeddah , Saudi Arabia. They told me their great grandfather came for Hajj to Mecca and decided to stay back.
