ISLAM OR REGIONAL CULTURE

I am a muslim amd a pakistani.i belong a society which is not familar in the difference between religion and culture. the line between to two is hard to determine . the culture of karo-kari, honour killing are the creation of not islam but of the cultural jigra system which dominates the country. the knowledge possesed by the people of pakistan and in general the people who belong to the islamic world is regretably very limited.

even in the urban areas the customs and norms of the culture are considered to be a part of the religon and there are people who exploit this fact. muslims have great sentimental affiliation to islam but they do not know what is the true spirit to islam. this is the reason why terrorism has corrupted our society the people who support terrorism can not differentiate between right and wrong they do not own what true jihad is . we are a peaceful nation and we have become a part of a war that is on going in our home and is against our own.

the solution to terrorism is not to ban is islam like mentioned by ali BEN nerzi who is an ex-muslim and thinks that he know the islam world. the solution is spreading knowledge about islam. so that the people follow the true spirit of this peaceful religon.

and i would also like to mention that what i am doing right now is also jihad. i am verbally defending islam, the religon i love and this also a form of jihad.

please do not base your opinions regarding islam and also pakistan without actually knowing what they are!
