Replacing the U.S. Constitution with the Koran

Reader comment on item: Replacing the U.S. Constitution with the Koran

Dear Prof Pipes,

Thank you for your kind words for Indians in general and Hindus in particular for not being a part of conspiracy against Islam.
I wish to clarify a statement that Muslims are living in tense india, yes it is those pockets where they have substantial presence.

A few words about Hinduism for the benefit of your readers: A Hindu can be an atheist, agnostic or a believer of one God to 330 million gods and goddesses. Because of this a Hindu not only recognises but respects God whose only begotten Son is Jesus and Allah whose last prophet was Mohammed. But unfortunately, the reciprocity from Christianity and Islam is missing. Hindus are democratic by nature. Christianity has changed a lot after Reformation and Renaissance. But this has not happened with Islam.

As I go through many letters relating to this, I agree with those readers who say that those Muslims who are not satisfied with the U.S.Constitution are wecome to go back to one of countries where Shari'a law prevails. They have no right to disturb or overthrow democratic governments. These Islamists have forgotted the simple civilised norm of behaviour: Give respect and take respect.
