Dear Doc Tater,

Your posting was enlightening. (For some time I have suspected of the truth of what you are saying - but had no facts to back up my suspicions.) Would you be so kind as to point me to a book on the history of the Jordanian tie to the "Palestinians".

Once having diagnosed the problem isn't the real issue how to cure? I believe now, as ever, the salvation of Israel rests in the protection of the USA. I also believe the new development of Christians uniting in support of Israel will prove an immoveable bulwark against any attempt to dispossess the Jews in Israel.

Most fundamental Christians (about 50% of the 80% of American Christians) passionately believe, publically or privately, the Genesis prophesy to Israel "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shall be a blessing; And I will bless them that bless thee and curse them that curseth thee; and in thee shall all families on earth be blessed."

Many Jewish folks think Christian support comes from their obsession with "Armaggedon and the Last Days" and a desire to hurry it along. They also observe that many Christians believe all "non-believers" in Jesus are going to hell - making the Christian support a decidedly mixed blessing.

In order to think Jews are going to hell if they don't believe in Jesus, they have to ignore the New Testament Romans 11:11 "For I would not, brethern, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in and so all Israel shall be saved;" The "fullness of the Gentiles" refers to the gentiles finishing their assignment of informing the world that God isn't mad at anybody, he just wants us all to turn around and do the right thing. For the Jews, they come to God through God's contract with Abraham, for the Gentiles under God's contract with Jesus.

If many, even most Christians are confused on these points - they should be forgiven. They have no other access to God but through Jesus and they do not understand the height, depth and breadth of God's covenant with the Jews through Abraham. Nor do they understand the absolute faithfulness of their own God who would never break covenant with anyone.

Do the Jews have so many passionate supporters like the fundamental Christians that they can afford to turn their noses up at their love and help just because they hold some misuganah points of view???
