Tom Paulin Re-Invited to Harvard

Reader comment on item: Profs Who Hate America

Submitted by Mayra Lichter (United States), Nov 20, 2002 at 15:48

During our recent email exchange, I asked about Tom Paulin's invitation to lecture at Harvard, and you correctly responded that the event had been cancelled. Now it seems that Mr. Paulin has been re-invited (thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=255387).
This great concern over the right of Paulin's free speech which has of course advocated outright murder of Jewish settlers, contrasts sharply with Harvard's lack of concern over the free speech rights of its professors and students at their law school which apparently offended more politically correct protected minorities, as noted in Dorothy Rabinowitz's media log column in yesterday's opinionjournal.com.
